Service Description:
Saffron is a service that offers support to family members and friends who care for someone who uses drugs or alcohol. Someone to talk to about the impact this has on you and your family. The service can also offer advice and information on drugs and alcohol and treatment services should you wish to have a better understanding of these. You will have a named worker who will offer you regular contact whch can be by telephone, one to one or you can come along to one of the support groups that run in various locations ( this allows you to meet with other people experiencing similar problems) to get and give mutual support. The service is confidential and free of charge.

Referral Procedure:
Carer would be given an option of what support they would like eg. telephone, one to one (possibility of home visit) or group support . A brief assessment would be completed.
