My name is Deborah and I am a registered childminder.
I have recently moved from the Peak District to Driffield.
I have 30 years experience of working in Early Years in schools and nurseries in the UK, as well as working in an international School in Thessaloniki in Greece.
I have three children of my own, my eldest Son lives in Scotland and is in the Merchant Navy. My Daughter is at London University studying fashion and my youngest Son is at Driffield School.
Prior to relocating to Driffield I owned an Ofsted Outstanding rated childcare business for over 10 years. The business also employed two staff members and catered for up to 12 children per day.
I offer a fun and caring environment for all children in which they are nurtured in a relaxed atmosphere. I encourage independence, helping children to achieve their full potential.
I provide a wide range of activities to suit every child and encourage their interests and curiosity to develop further knowledge.
I love the outdoors and feel children thrive in an outdoor environment. I offer daily outdoor nature based activities, woodland/nature walks, outings, exploring the world we live in.
I have a large enclosed private garden with a mud kitchen, sand and water trays, wooden obstacle courses, scooters, bikes and other equipment.
The children have their own garden where they can grow herbs/flowers and vegetables.
I live opposite a children's play park with nearby fields, woods and streams. Lots of open spaces and places to explore.
I have a seperate playroom for children providing a wide range of resources.
I offer daily dance and music sessions including a morning wake up and shake up routine which babies/children love. Stories and singing are also an important part of our day.
I provide healthy food and snacks. Meals are freshly made and I encourage children to be involved in menu planning and baking activities.
We plan on visiting the farm shop regularly where children can see and buy seasonal fruit and vegetables.
I hold childcare qualification NNEB (Level3)
Paediatric First Aid (level 3)
Food Hygiene (Level 3)
Qualification in Nutrition and Health, Speech and Language and Early Years Chdilren's Yoga.
I have attended numerous quality improvement provided by the coucil and Early Years,
I am also up to date with Safeguarding and SEN-CO training.
