Meet the FISH Team
Paul: Hi, I'm Paul and I manage the Families Information Service Hub Helpline Team. I've managed the team since 2017 as well as my role as an Early Years Development Advisor supporting our childcare settings across part of the Beverley & Holderness area.
Outside of work, I'm a massive Leeds United fan and have been since 1979 and go and watch them home and away. I'm also a Level 1 Football Coach and enjoy watching both my daughter and son play football for Kingswood United on a weekend. When not doing that I enjoy watching darts and having the odd Costa Coffee!!!!
Sarah: Hi, my name is Sarah and I’ve worked within the FISH team firstly as an admin assistant and now as an information officer and have been in the team for 12 years. As well as working on the helpline, one of my focuses within the team is working on the SEND Local Offer website together with the LOOK AHEAD database. I also co-ordinate the fortnightly SEND East Riding Local Offer Bulletin which is distributed to over 3000 parent/carers and professionals. I enjoy the interaction with parent/carers and other professionals.
In my spare time I enjoy seeing my family and friends, taking my dog on walks, getting away for weekends and cooking (which isn’t always good!)
Sally: I have been part of the FISH team for over 12 years now, I started in 2009 as an admin assistant then became a FISH Information assistant and now, I am a FISH Information Officer. Alongside working on the FISH helpline my focus within the team is coordinating publicity and marketing to promote the FISH service and I produce the fortnightly FISH mailout to all professionals.
The FISH Team has always been a very pleasant place to work, I get a lot of job satisfaction from giving help and support to parents, carers and professionals.
Away from work I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children.
Aneliese: - Hi I'm Aneliese and I have worked for the FISH team for over 8 years, during my time with FISH my focus areas have been administrating the SEND Local Offer website, coordinating events and producing termly newsletters, currently my main focus area is funding and childcare. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my two children, who are 1 and 3 years old, and a glass of wine when they are in bed!
Gemma: Hi my name is Gemma and I have worked for FISH for nearly 4 years. Prior to this I worked in many different roles across directorates, so my knowledge of the local authority is broad which I’ve found to be of great use working on a helpline. My main focus area as FISH information officer is childcare and funding working alongside Kerry. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watching my 9 year old son play football. I also love prosecco, shopping (for pretty things!) and watching Disney films.
Kerry: Hi I am Kerry I have an early years background and worked within childcare settings both as a nursery nurse and a nursery manager for 24 years before joining the FISH team in January 2020.
My main focus within the team is to work alongside Gemma on the childcare and funding aspects. I also offer support with the T.Y.L.E.R group.
Outside of work I enjoy days out with my 5 year old son and husband – I have also been known to indulge in the odd bit of online shopping!
Eliott: I joined the FISH team in July 2021 after previously working in the Early Years Admin Team and the Early Years ICT Team. My main area of focus within FISH is the maintenance and development of the Families Service Directory and the associated directory searches, which allows a nice blend of my past roles within the local authority.
Outside of work I have a keen interest in DIY type projects and in my spare time I can normally be found in my garage working on my next project, with a strong cup of tea in hand!
