I offer a warm, fun, and friendly home-based environment that provides childcare for pre-school children aged 3-16 years old. As well as professional nanny services to cater for other needs of childcare.
I have lived in the Bridlington area for over 25 years,
I live with my husband, Matthew, and our old Jack Russel dog, Ben.
We do have children ourselves, yet they are now grown up, flown the nest and my daughter now has two children of her own. I keep hinting to my son to make me a granny again, but he ain’t having none of it, yet.
Becoming a Granny!
Becoming a grandparent is the most amazing part of my parenting journey yet! Plus, it is the reason why I came back into childcare again.
When I left my childcare career behind 8 years ago to re-train as a CBT therapist, I did think that door was closed behind me for good. Yet, on September 19th, 2015 my life changed forever! This was the day my granddaughter was born, and she completely changed my outlook on life, even more so when her brother came along afterwards.
When we learned that herself and her brother could be on the autistic spectrum this completely changed my career direction.
I have previously worked in the primary school profession with early years pupils and I have over 23-years’ experience caring for children professionally, parenting, grandparenting and providing childcare services.
My Approach to Childminding
I am professional, passionate, and empathic about supporting each individual child that I care for in a safe, stimulating, and fun environment to help them achieve their full potential.
As a registered Childcare provider, I do follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) to support the learning and development of all children in my care.
