How to start a Parent & Toddler group

Parent & toddler groups are an essential part of the community. They offer the opportunity for young children aged up to two-and-a-half years to have fun and mix with other children in a safe environment where a familiar adult can share and extend their early learning experiences.

Parent & toddler groups do not need to register with Ofsted because parents and carers stay with their children and remain responsible for them at all times.

Drop-in visits from relevant advisers such as a health visitor, speech and language therapist or dental nurse are often arranged to provide additional support and guidance to young families.

How do I register my group with FISH?

FISH can register a parent & toddler group or any other similar activity group on our directory. In order to do so please contact us for a directory listing enquiry form.

This form will require completion to ensure that we gain consent to host your information and that your group is advertised correctly.
Please email fish@eastriding.gov.uk

FISH aim to audit our directory of groups annually, but do also ask providers to make us aware of changes to their groups details. This helps to ensure the information provided to local families is kept up to date.
